 參觀台灣博物館

        今天，我參加了一個參觀台灣博物館的參訪行程。在參觀期間，我了解到很多關於這座博物館的有趣資訊——令我驚訝的是，它竟然是台灣最古老的博物館，儘管它成立於1908年。我還了解到，它是日本殖民政府在台灣日據時期建立的，他們特意將建築設計成新古典主義風格，試圖將台灣打造成一個模範殖民地。

         因此，這座建築本身俱有重要的歷史意義，並根據修訂後的《文化資產保存法》被指定為國家歷史古蹟。我還注意到，除了歐式花卉圖案外，日本人還想融入一些台灣本土元素，所以他們在窗戶周圍裝飾了香蕉、蓮霧和楊桃等植物！

         讓大家自由參觀博物館大約一個小時後，我們回到博物館的一間教室，聆聽一位工作人員的解說。我注意到，一樓主要用於舉辦特別展覽，二樓則著重於展示台灣的生態和文化永續發展；三樓主要展示博物館的歷史淵源和早期發展。在問答環節，與會者提出了各種各樣的問題。我們討論了無障礙設施問題，並探討了他​​們為確保博物館資訊易於獲取所做的工作。他們的教育基金會的研究團隊致力於安排菲律賓、印度、緬甸、泰國等多種語言的導覽服務。

        就我個人而言，我最感興趣的是了解博物館是如何在一百多年裡保持其吸引力的。我了解到，員工的熱情是博物館持續發展的關鍵，許多員工都在努力創造新的方式與大眾分享知識。

Visiting the National Taiwan Museum

Today, I participated in a visit to the National Taiwan Museum. During the visit, I learned a lot of interesting information about the museum—I was surprised to learn that it is actually the oldest museum in Taiwan, despite being founded in 1908. I also learned that it was built by the Japanese colonial government during their rule of Taiwan, and they deliberately designed the building in a neoclassical style, attempting to make Taiwan a model colony.

Therefore, the building itself has significant historical value and has been designated a national historical site under the revised Cultural Heritage Preservation Act. I also noticed that, in addition to European floral patterns, the Japanese also wanted to incorporate some local Taiwanese elements, so they decorated the windows with plants such as bananas, wax apples, and starfruit!

After about an hour of free time to explore the museum, we returned to a classroom in the museum to listen to a staff member's explanation. I noticed that the first floor is mainly used for special exhibitions, the second floor focuses on showcasing Taiwan's ecological and cultural sustainability, and the third floor mainly displays the museum's historical origins and early development. During the Q&A session, the participants asked a variety of questions. We discussed accessibility and explored their efforts to ensure easy access to museum information. Their educational foundation's research team is dedicated to arranging guided tours in multiple languages, including Filipino, Indian, Burmese, and Thai.

Personally, I was most interested in understanding how the museum has maintained its appeal for over a century. I learned that the passion of the staff is key to the museum's continued growth, with many employees striving to create new ways to share knowledge with the public.
